Fighting Pain – Are Meds the Best Relief

There may be as many as 100 million Americans suffering from chronic pain at this very moment.  You might be one of them.  And back injuries are the leading cause of such pain, but there are also issues with arthritis, shingles, diabetic nerve damage, post-surgical problems and countless others.

The U.S. currently spends nearly $635 billion to treat chronic pain, and still many are left with poor results and continual suffering.

Studies show that while there is no magic cure, discovery has been made into how and why the acute and chronic pain process is so persistent.  They looked closely at why some patients who suffered illness or injury got well and others continued to have acute pain issues.

Researchers studying people with back injuries and experiencing chronic pain, have uncovered something using brain scans that is new and explains what is physically going on.
